No, I am not saying you have to spend $10,000 or anything close to that, but $1000 is, in most instances, not going to get you a professional website, regardless of what someone is telling you. Sure, for a freelancer with no overhead, $1000 is a nice payday for a quick and simple website, but that is not what you are looking for. You are looking for something that has to be very visually attractive, integrate a smart calendar feature for your events (maybe even allow people to register) and to have the ability to rank in search engines.

Although I must admit this is sometimes exhausting because as soon as I am done completing or updating my web design tasks I do not have the energy to write my blog entry.

Millions of small businesses (60% of small businesses globally) don’t yet have a website.

Web designers are part artist and part tech-geek. They're not only responsible for the look of a website, but also the functions. Web designers aren't required to have any specific training or certification as long as they have the skills to design a site. Although it's not necessarily a requirement, a knowledge of coding and programming can increase opportunities and income. Web designers should have:
Another common concern is that you don’t have much content to add for frequent updates or you don’t have time to blog. The short answer is that you don’t need to. Sure, more activity and frequently refreshed content can generate more interest, but any Web presence is probably better than none. Once you have a basic website, you can always add to it, as your business and resources grow.
Weebly: Probably the easiest website builder thanks to its drag and drop system. The templates look clean and professional. You can customize them by changing the position of certain elements on your page, but you won’t have complete creative freedom there. You get a free domain name the first year.
