Hi, just came across this article. Its a fantastic illustration of how small to medium sized businesses can use Awards based promotion to get their companies recognised on the 1st page of Google. Awards programmes offer many benefits to winners. After all they bring recognition and you can share the news of your win with your employees, clients, industry peers and target market as many times as you like. Additonally awards offer prestige and status, giving potential customers peace of mind that they are working with a reputable company. There are many types of awards programmes, including those that host awards ceremonies (and you pay per table), organisations that award only their members (and you pay for membership and sponsorship) and those that provide promotional materials. The latter is a great way for those who are unsure about the benefits of using corporate awards programmes because generally nominees and winners do not have to pay a penny to be a participant. Winners often receives online recognition, usually with a reach much greater than their own marketing efforts can deliver. Other free benefits can include the use of an press release. Most participants have the option to purchase additional marketing materials to further enhance their win, if they wish to, for use in social media campaigns, on their own website, email marketing campaigns or in customer newsletters.

As you can see, for the simple website category it is best to use a website builder such as Wix (see review), Weebly (see review) and Jimdo: These are great tools for simple informative websites. So a page that shows what you do and where to find you (although you can, of course, do a lot more too). They are quick to setup and extremely easy to use. They tend to be easier to manage because they let you buy a domain name, web hosting and professional email all in one place. Some of them even offer them as all-in-one packages. Duda (see review) even goes one step further and offers tools for multilingual websites.

A professional web designer creates the look and feel of your website, collaborating with you to choose colors, creating logos and other branding materials, establishing page layouts, and creating sample pages. An important part of web design is making sure the site is functional, meets your goals, and is easy for users to navigate. When you’re looking to hire a web designer, start by reviewing the person’s portfolio. Look for samples of work that match what you envision for your website, including experience building the types of pages or features you want. Make sure the web designer is familiar with your industry and understands both industry trends and web design trends — an old-fashioned or out-of-touch site will turn customers away rather than intrigue them.
In the beginning, Facebook groups and Meetups were almost entirely how I built our local profile. Eventually, you’ll see the same people at different events and start becoming known. This builds confidence. Once you’ve done a few great websites, you’ll build a reputation. This is exactly what happened to me and how we got our ‘start’ in web design.
If you run an auto repair shop, a website can be your best friend. Why? Because your customers may assume that your services are more expensive or complicated than they really are. People generally feel very anxious about taking their car to the shop; a website that offers clear pricing, service details, and online estimates is an easy way to earn their trust and loyalty. If you offer auto detailing services, a website gives you a chance to show off your handiwork with impressive photos.

I’m pretty new to the whole web development/design aspect of things. I’ve tinkered before with free things but more specifically with forum design. I’m very interested in building a website but aside from having a main traditional website feel I’m looking to incorporate a forum to it. Would it be possible to do this with this WordPress/BlueHost tutorial here? Or would there be something you recommend for that sort of thing?
My name is Chad Lowe and I am a professional graphic & web designer based in Eugene, Oregon in the USA. I specialize in brand/logo development but I can complete a wide variety of different projects. I moved to the Pacific Northwest to continue my freelance design career and have previously managed many large-scale print & digital projects for various clients including Warner Bros, Netflix, NBC, DC Comics, Univision and more. I love working on illustration projects for both work and play, and I can also design and code responsive websites that meet modern standards. I am able to turn around strong concepts quickly and efficiently and am used to maintaining communication and managing time with many clients and projects at once. Feel free to check out samples of my work in the Portfolio below. I am currently open for all types of projects and would love to hear from you. Thank you for the consideration.
I would highly recommend going with a hosting service that has an established reputation for providing excellent customer service. This is because if there happens to be an issue with the website that the business owner cannot figure out on his or her own, the hosting company has likely encountered the issue before and can sometimes provide guidance without the need for hiring an expensive developer to fix the issue.

Another major advantage of providing a website to your customers is that you provide 24/7 access to information about your business and its products and services. Your business may close its doors overnight, but your website is busy marketing your brand and products to prospects and existing customers. It may show up in search results conducted by Internet users during the late night or early morning hours when your lights are off.
A) The process takes about 20 to 30 minutes for you to fill out the questionnaire about your business. It then takes as little as 1 week for our team to construct your website based upon your answers to our questionnaire. You have up to 30 days to provide us content to place on the initial pages we build. It may take us a few additional days to add content after you submit it.
Most web designers offer a wide variety of services to make your website aesthetically pleasing and easy to use. Modern web design must be mobile-friendly and scalable, capable of expanding to include a blog, social media sites, and even video streaming; web designers are experts at integrating various web technologies. They can build the site, add functionality, test it, launch it on a live server, and track and maintain its performance.
I have a first-hand experience of managing WordPress-based blogs. These site builders and CMS solutions don’t guarantee that you don’t need the professional assistance from a web designer/developer. It comes down to an individual whether he or she is willing to spend 4 hours at some point to make a change or he or she can afford a web designer who could get it done instantaneously while you can manage other stuff.
